In the next few days, I will be covering antibiotic associated colitis (Pseudomembranous Colitis) caused by C. difficile. The spectrum of this disease is variable and patients may experience abdominal pain (cramps), watery to blood diarrhea and fever. The onset of symptoms may occur while the patient is on an antibiotic or up to a month after the treatment was stopped or completed. So what do we do if we have a patient with a history of pseudomebranous colitis presents with bacterial pneumonia and needs an antibiotic? This is to follow. For now, the student is encouraged to study the data presented in the video.Luis Lomeli MD/Beta(Some poetry: 1. What is life? Though it seems to have no intrinsic ability to exist, it does in the interwoven process of decay and repair. Life, amidst its fading fate, gives new life when none was expected. 2.: I know the feel of that object; it's a gun. I cannot be deceived against its measured coldness. Is that projectile my death warrant? "Is that how I must die?" Tonight, once again, the stranger walked away. I looked at his back but he didn't bother to say when he'd be back. In the stillness of the moment, the pulse of life becomes profoundly audible. )
