PLEASE READ THIS. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. Up to today, I have put three hundred and eleven videos up here on YouTube, and they have been viewed nearly two million times, according to my account information on my home page. Two million hits is, I feel, a pretty amazing achievement for the music that I love. Well basically, if my hundreds of long long hours putting up free videos for you to watch, have brought you any form of enjoyment or satisfaction at all, then PLEASE PLEASE, I ask you, no I BEG you to do just one thing in return. PLEASE support the "Yesterday And Tomorrow" , and show me that you care about this music. I have put my heart and soul, and thirty three years of my career into this album, and we're flying blind, doing it ourselves and without a distributor. Unless people take the trouble to go to our website, which at the moment has a direct link to the album on E-Bay, or unless people go onto amazon.co.uk and search for the album, they are simply not going to find it in their local shop. I put a huge amount of loving care into these videos on YouTube, and nearly two million hits prove it's not in vain. Surely you can spend just fifteen pounds of your money and buy it, just to show me I am not wasting my time. PLEASE do this for me, PLEASE. It's painful and heartwrenching to see it sell so little, mainly because it's not easily available. So PLEASE show me your support, and I shall continue to do my bit to bring you this music. I ask you not to ignore this plea - I need to see a sign that people care. I would hate to be so disheartened that I remove all my 311 videos from here. So just this once, all I ask of you is to do your bit, and please buy this one CD.I have now cut seven songs so far on this amazing singer, including "My Claim To Fame" for my new album "Yesterday And Tomorrow". Noel McKoy is probably the greatest real true soul singer living in England at the moment. He reminds me of a cross between Bobby Womack and David Ruffin, and his voice gives me goosebumps. We first cut three tracks on him in 2006, "Determined Man", "Read Between The Lines", and "Shadow Of A Dream". Noel really is a singer from the school of soulful story telling and social commentating, who writes from the heart and delivers from the soul. Noel McKoy's raw rasping texture from the pen to the acoustic style of production gives the dynamic sound that will take you on a voyage of human emotion. It is no surprise that Noel Mckoy's artistic development is inspired from the legendary greats such as, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Isley Brothers, Rick James, Miles Davis and The Beatles but it would be closer to home, which would encourage him to sing. It was his mother and auntie who set him off in the right direction of singing and performing at the young age of 12 and then going on to record his first track at the age of 14. By 18 he was mastering the art of song writing and playing guitar but it would be at a later age of 24 that he would be part of a band named 'Mckoy' which, consisted of sister Junett and two brothers Cornell and Robin. The early 90s gave birth to the sound of Acid Jazz and Noel Mckoy was fronting the legendary band James Taylor Quartered (JTQ) and also collaborating with 'Omar' and 'Incognito'. Noel Mckoy is without a doubt one of Britain's most critically acclaimed Soul Singers who's performed and toured the world with several UK & International acts including the likes of Womack & Womack, Roy Ayes, Gladys Knight, George Clinton, James Taylor Quartet, Mica Paris, Sounds Of Blackness, Steve Williamson and Linton 'Kwesi' Johnson. And of course, this song comes from "Disco 2008" which is still available on Centre City Records.
